With the newest installment of the Forza Motorsport racing franchise set to hit stores next week, I thought it would be fun to take a look at the fastest cars in the in for a 5.
Now, there are a lot of great features in this game. It’s going to be one of my favorites this year.
But what really strikes me about Forza 5 is how well they captured the feel of driving different kinds of cars on different tracks and surfaces.
Regarding racing, you don’t want to be behind the wheel of anything but the fastest car available.
While there are plenty of speedy rides in Forza 5, the cream of the crop is the cars that can sprint from 0-60 mph faster than anything else on the track.
Here’s our list of the top fastest cars in Forza 5.
1. Koenigsegg Jesko
The Koenigsegg Jesko tops the list of the fastest cars in Forza 5. With a top speed of 286 mph, it ranks third on the world’s fastest car list.
Powered by a 1500 horsepower engine with a total weight of 2295 kg, this speedy beauty has an extensive power-to-weight ratio, contributing to its world-class performance.
The Koenigsegg Jesko also does 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.8 seconds, making it faster than any other car on this list.
2. Koenigsegg Agera RS
The top-of-the-line Swedish sports car might not be the quickest car out there. It more than makes up for that with unparalleled speed and handling on any surface.
The Agera RS has incredible acceleration, power, and grip. This is due to an astounding 1000 bhp from a 4.7 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
And that’s before you consider the downforce produced by its ground effect design, with a custom one-piece carbon fiber bodywork. You’re going to have to see this all for yourself!
3. Koenigsegg One: 1
One of the fastest cars in Forza 5 on the list is the Koenigsegg One:1. The One:1 was revealed as the first mega car.
This one-of-a-kind Koenigsegg has a top speed of 273 mph and a power-to-weight ratio of 1 hp per kilogram.
It is the most powerful production car to date. It also had a limited run of only 6 vehicles sold for $4,890,000 each.
4. Bugatti Chiron
Bugatti is a German automotive company established originally to manufacture and distribute automobiles.
Also controlled by investors such as Volkswagen AG. It is known for high-performance sports cars like the Veyron, with a speed of 267.8 km/h.
A pioneer in auto racing, Bugatti was at its best through 1955 when it sold 550 cars, which set all-time records.
These records were not broken until the 2000’s Jaguar XJ220 and Ferrari Enzo. There are 22 models from Bugatti Automobiles S.A., with the EB110 and 3500 GTO being their only supercars.
5. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
This car is beautiful, even if it costs $750,000. This supercar can achieve speeds of 253 mph (407 km/h) with the 6.0 L W16 engine that puts out 1,200 hp.
Also, it can reach 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds! This 2013 model has upgraded to carbon-fiber ceramic brakes.
It helps you avoid too much burning and melting during these intense heat-of-the-moment moments when everything else fails, and you need something quick.
Truly an awesome vehicle for any speed junkie or anyone looking for some hardcore fastest cars in Forza 5 racing action to get their adrenaline rushing! This car is beautiful, even though it is expensive at $750,000.
6. Porsche Taycan Turbo S (Welcome Pack Version)
There are some automotive dreamers out there who aspire to own a Porsche.
One of the more attainable options for those looking to get their foot in the door of this particular niche is the Taycan Turbo S (Welcome Pack Version).
Additionally, at 310 horsepower, it only has a handful less than what we saw from its predecessor.
What’s especially noteworthy about this sedan is its cornering ability. Also, handling is so well-balanced that you can easily drift through traffic.
7. Lamborghini Aventador J
At number 7, we have the Lamborghini Aventador J. The name Aventador J is derived from the original car of this family, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4.
The number 7 on end stands for Julien — a tribute to late engineer Julian Nabab man’s initials.
Despite having a similar engine to other models and identical weight, it’s one of the fastest cars in Forza 5 ever made, with a top speed of 350 km/h or 217 mph.
8. Porsche 959
The Porsche 959 was unveiled to the world as a concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1985.
It took another two years before Porsche introduced a production model. A powerful 32-valve turbocharged engine powered the 959.
This engine generated 450 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the fastest cars in Forza 5 of its time.
Some have argued that it is still one of the fastest cars today and has been designated a hypercar.
Over just three short years, Porsche built only 337 copies. Today, those cars can be found for $1 million or more.
9. Nissan GT-R Black Edition
Nissan was wise to boost the GT-R’s power to 600 horsepower and its torque up to 481 pound-feet.
This was by swapping its 3.8-liter V6 for a new twin-turbocharged VR38DETT four-cylinder engine.
When the GT-R Black Edition arrives, it will match our highest ranked: The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque from a 6.2 liter V8.
The sprints are even closer than expected: From 0 to 60 mph, it takes 4 seconds flat, while the Z06 is only 1/10th of a second behind at 3.7 seconds.
10. VUHL 05RR
This little-known Malaysian car is undeniably one of the fastest cars in Forza 5 you can find in the game.
It weighs next to nothing and is put together from materials with a high strength-to-weight ratio.
Also, the engine makes massive horsepower, too. No other car could beat it if it didn’t have advantageous gear or a racing line.
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, then make sure to get it!
11. Acura NSX
The Acura NSX has a lot of history behind it, including its production, which began way back in 1990 and had an original price tag of just under $120,000.
This highly coveted sports car has a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that achieves anywhere from 220 to 276 horsepower. It even tops out at 195 mph.
Although the NSX isn’t going to be as fast as some other cars, such as the Ferrari 458 or Corvette C7.
It’s still considered one of the fastest cars in Forza 5 on this list and has earned recognition from car enthusiasts worldwide.
12. Bugatti Divo
Making its mark on the automotive world in only two months, the Bugatti Divo is an amazing sight to behold.
The design of this beastly machine was engineered by none other than Jean-Pierre Losio. This car is also said to be a sign of things to come from the French manufacturer.
Additionally, the 4.5L 8-cylinder engine sitting at the front of this machine can produce up to 1,500 horsepower and 1,180 lb-ft of torque.
With all that power being transferred through a lightweight body frame and stiff suspension system, one would have to believe that this car deserves its position on this list as one of the fastest cars in Forza 5.
This has both stellar performance and astonishing aesthetics.
13. Hoonigan Ford “Hoonicorn” Mustang
In a worldwide survey, this was the most popular car from the show Top Gear, and we totally get why.
The Hoonicorn is all about straight-line speed with a 662 horsepower V8 engine, getting to 60mph from a standstill in less than three seconds! This is the real deal! If you’re looking for pure speed, this is it.
Its specification includes: 4 liter 8 cylinder quad-turbocharged engine, max power – 734 hp at 7000 rpm (646 kW), max torque – 650 ft·lb (881 N·m) at 2000 rpm; six-speed manual transmission, four-wheel drive; fuel tank capacity – 75 liters
14. McLaren P1
The McLaren P1 is a plug-in hybrid supercar from the British company McLaren Automotive.
Designed to be highly aerodynamic, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, with an average top speed of 250 mph.
Also, the P1 combines an electric motor and a turbocharged V8 engine. It has a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and boasts KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System).
This captures the energy otherwise lost during braking or deceleration and stores it as electricity to boost acceleration.
It even has electronic diode headlights that adapt their output according to ambient light levels.
This can also allow you to set your own desired light intensity level for a full day or night driving.
15. McLaren Speedtail
This sleek, futuristic supercar packs a whopping 1,000 horsepower. And what might be the prettiest car on this list is also one of the fastest cars in Forza 5.
Some trade-offs for achieving blistering speeds are handling and braking–a bit low for some drivers’ tastes. McLaren does offer driver assistance to help out there.
The idea of a futuristic supercar with a top speed of over 240 miles per hour might sound like overkill.
Hear us out: this will only go up as technology advances. Get your hands on one now if you want bragging rights in 20 years.
16. Rimac Concept Two
Though the Rimac Concept Two has only been seen at auto shows and is not yet publicly available, it is widely regarded as one of the most technologically advanced vehicles on this list of fastest cars in Forza 5. It goes from 0-60 in 1.85 seconds!
The car can recharge 400 km or 248 miles of range every hour with a battery pack that is 10x lighter and 1000x cheaper than a conventional lithium-ion battery.
This rare supercar, which looks like an alien spaceship with its teardrop shape, has no backseat or door handles. This is just an oddly shaped key to get inside.
17. Zenvo TSR-S
Known as the world’s most powerful supercar, the Zenvo TSR-S sports a blistering top speed of 240.84 miles per hour.
This car’s insane 1,300 horsepower and 1,100 pound-feet of torque make it even more impressive.
Also comes with a 7.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that emits just 550 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
As if those numbers weren’t crazy enough, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (60 miles per hour) in 2.8 seconds.
This can be on its way to a 260-kilometer-per-hour (161 miles per hour) top speed! Whoa…hold on to your hats about the Zenvo TSR-S.
18. Hennessey Venom GT
In March 2013, the Guinness World Records recognized the Hennessey Venom GT as the fastest car on earth.
This was after it reached speeds of 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center during a 2-mile timed run.
Hennessey Special Vehicles partnered with former NASA astronaut and Project Mercury astronaut John Glenn to help them realize their dream.
And they didn’t disappoint! Using a 7.0-liter V8 engine and 1000 horsepower, this vehicle is hands down one of the fastest cars in Forza 5 on the market today.
Conclusion
Forza 5 offers hundreds of cars to choose from, including many that have never been seen in any previous game in the Forza series.
The wide range of cars means players will find at least one car they can’t wait to drive.
But regarding which car is best suited for playing on the open road and setting lap records, here are the fastest cars in Forza 5.
