Have you played an addictive game like Clash of Clans? If yes, then you should be familiar with in-app purchasing and the money you find yourself to keep your game going.

Things to Know About in-app Purchases

Many apps in the App Store allow you to buy additional features, content, upgrades, functionality, and resources.

These are all done within the app instead of going to another store. Some apps allow you to make purchases within the app, and this is called In-App Purchase.

In-app purchasing can be fun sometimes because it’s a way to generate more money for the developers of the app, but users won’t be the first word to cross your mind if you buy things without realizing you are doing it.

If you make any purchase without knowing, you can stack up a heavy bill on iTunes.

You can also deal with unexpected expenses if your child uses your iOS device to gather debts without asking for your permission.

But these can all be prevented by turning off the ability to buy within apps. These instructions apply only to devices running iOS 12 and higher.

How to Request a Refund for in-app Purchases?

Formally, contesting in-app purchases was a toss-up. Because Apple has no way of knowing if the purchase was made accidentally by a 7-year-old or a 35-year-old who wants to get out of paying the bill.

Apple has made the process straightforward by following the instructions on this web page.

But you will have to submit your order number. There’s no guarantee that you will get a refund on every purchase, but it won’t hurt to try.
