The Umidigi A7S is the World’s first AI Thermometer Entry-Level Smartphone and the last member of the Umidigi A7 series. It was launched after the A7 Pro and A7.
Umidigi is quite known for releasing affordable smartphones with good specifications that run on stock Android OS.

Design and Display
The Umidigi A7S is attractively designed with bright colors and a 3D unibody model. At 6.53 inches, this smartphone offers a tall display with minimal intrusions.
Umidigi utilizes the waterdrop notch design for the selfie camera, and the chin is very slim. The receiver sits atop the selfie camera. The tiny bezels available are there to maintain structural integrity.
The triple camera cutout on the rear side of the phone houses the rear lenses, the infrared sensor, and the dual-tone flashlight. These are all beautifully arranged in two columns on the top left side.
Umidigi decided to sacrifice the fingerprint sensor, possibly to cut costs or for reasons best known to them. The UMIDIGI brand name is at the bottom left.
The phone’s left side has the SIM and MicroSD slot, and a new addition is the Independent Shortcut Key, which can be customized with about seven different functions. The right side holds the power and volume keys.
The 3.5 mm jack is on the top side of the phone, while the base has an external speaker, a Type-C reversible USB port, and a dedicated mic.
For some reason, Umidigi decided to abandon its popular 2.5D glass finishing for the Umidigi A7S and opt for a polycarbonate body.
The display department features the 6.53-inch HD+ full-screen LCD with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen resolution is 1600 x 720 pixels. The color options available are Granite grey, sky blue, and peacock green.

The Umidigi A7S has an 8MP selfie camera. It is important to know that Umidigi does not modify its camera software, so much should be expected in terms of features. AI beautify, selfie cutdown, and Face recognition are available, though.
The rear camera module consists of a 13MP main rear camera lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens with a field of view of up to 120 degrees, and a 2MP depth sensor.
This camera setup is more than good enough for a low-end smartphone, as most Infinix and Tecno devices in this category rarely use a 13MP + QVGA setup.
The lack of a front-facing LED flash may put some people off, but with the help of the Google Camera Go with Night Mode feature, you may not miss the front flash.
Hardware and Memory Specifications
The Umidigi A7S’s processor specifications are quite low. It is powered by MediaTek Quadcore MT6737, 4x Cortex-A53, with a 1.25GHz speed. The graphics processing unit available is the ARM Mali-T720-MP1, with a 650MHz speed.
The smartphone has an infrared thermometer, which can be used to measure external temperature and can serve as key equipment in battling COVID-19.
The memory department has 32GB of storage space paired with 2GB of RAM space, and the UMIDIGI A7S can support up to 128GB extra memory expansion.
