The Infinix S5 Lite was released just two months ago and is one of the revamped and redesigned Infinix devices.
The Infinix S5 Lite offers a decent camera, a day’s battery life, and a 6.6-inch display.
Below are the specifications and features of the device.

Design and Display
The Infinix S5 Lite ditches the notched screen popularised by the iPhone and all its variants for a fresh option: the punch-hole.
The Infinix S5 Lite is among the cheapest phones with a punch-hole camera design, which gives it a better screen-to-body ratio. At 6.6 inches, the smartphone has a glossy plastic casing with 2.5D screen protection.
The smartphone’s rear side contains a vertical triple camera setup alongside the LED flash. The fingerprint sensor is also present. The volume and power buttons are on the right side of the phone, and the SIM tray is on the left side.
The display segment includes an HD+ display (dubbed Infinity O) with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Infinix claims the device offers a 90.5 percent screen-to-body resolution.
The large display makes for a good media and gaming experience, but one-handed mode operation is going to be quite difficult unless the software option is activated.
The device’s base contains the 3.5mm jack, microphone, USB port, and speaker grille.
Camera
The punch hole is home to a 16MP selfie lens. This is great for selfie shots, but the camera lacks a front LED flash, so it is not suitable for night shots.
The rear cameras feature a 16MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor for portrait mode, and a QVGA low-light sensor. There is also a quad-LED flash for night shots.
From all indications, the phone does better with daylight photography as it lacks night mode. However, the Infinx AI software will smooth out some of the glitches.
AR stickers are available and can shoot 1080p videos @30 frames per second
Hardware Specifications
The Infinix S5 Lite dons the Helio P22 Octacore processor under the hood. It is clocked at 2.0 GHz with Cortex-A53 chips and assisted by the PowerVR GE8329 GPU.
The device comes with either 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB or 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage space. The storage memory space can be expanded to 128GB via an SD card.
Software and Performance
The Infinix S5 Lite runs Android 9.0 Pie under the XOS 5.5 skin. The interface remains the same as with most Infinix phones, with the smart panel and gesture-based navigation.
Then there is the major Infinix problem—bloatware. There are tons of apps installed on the phone that you don’t need, and ads pop out in the app drawer and notifications. It’s a big miss.
Other available features include Game mode, Do Not Disturb Mode, one-hand mode, WhatsApp mode, etc. Also, while there may be a few performance-based updates, there is no news that Infinix will upgrade this phone to Android 10.
The device is not meant for heavy gaming, though, and it lacks an ambient sensor.
Battery Specifications
The Infinx S5 Lite is powered by a 4000mAh battery and comes with a 5V 2A charger. There is no fast charge option available. In normal usage, the phone lasts over a day.
If you can live with the few drawbacks (lack of ambient sensor, front flash, fast charge, night mode), then this device is great for you, else compare it with the Tecno Camon 12.
We shouldn’t expect much from a device in this price range after all. It is one of the best Infinix devices you can get at present.
