Runtown was born August 19, 1989, in Enugu, but raised partly in Abuja and Lagos, where he completed his primary education. After his father died, he moved to Abuja with his mother, who was a health worker.
Career
In 2014, he released “Gallardo,” a song that features Davido’s voice, and was released as the first single from his debut studio album Ghetto University. Gallardo was critically acclaimed, and the music won “Best Collaboration of the Year” at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
On November 23, 2015, Runtown released his debut studio album titled Ghetto University via MTN Music Plus through Eric Many Entertainment (his former label). The album streams generated over £35million on the music portal, earning this spot on the ‘5 Most Popular Artists’ list.
