The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Max was announced in March 2020. It is part of the Redmi Note 9 series aimed at dominating the mid-range market.
Redmi is known for selling some awesome mid-range devices and it has solidified its grip in that section despite competition from Xiaomi’s POCO series and Realme.
The device will be released very soon but since it has a minor upgrade over the Redmi Note (known as Redmi note 9 Pro in India), most of its specifications are already know.

Design and Display
The Redmi Note 9 Max follows the present smartphone design that ditched the Notch for the punch hole camera. Though Xioami took things higher with their Aura Balance Design which tends to leave things symmetrical and cool. The is an LED on the speaker grille to aid notifications. The chin is also quite slim and not invasive.
The back panel of the phone features a glossy pane and secured with the Gorilla Glass 5. The rear camera module is centrally mounted and features a quad camera setup arranged in a circular square manner. The LED flash is just under it, sandwiched between a “64MP Camera” message, and at the bottom is the Redmi branding in symmetry to the camera module setup.
The fingerprint sensor was moved from the back of the phone to the right side and integrated into the power button. The top houses the IR blaster and a secondary microphone, the base contains the USB port C, dedicated MIC, and a headphone jack.
The left side is home to dual nano SIM and SD card slots. The frame of the phone is made of plastic. The Redmi Note 9 Max features a P2i coating protecting it against water spills and splashes. It is available in Glacier White, Interstellar Black, and Aurora Blue colors.
Big displays have been part of Redmi’s story to stardom and this phone is not left out. The Redmi Note 9 Max has a 6.67-inch display panel and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
The display resolution of this device is 2400 x 1080. The phone has a Full HD+ IPS LCD and it is protected by a Gorilla Glass 5 film. The refresh rate is currently 60Hz.

The Redmi Note 9 Max is equipped with a 32MP selfie camera with LED flash and AI boost with slow motion capabilities. The processor was fabricated using the 8nm architecture making it more conservative when it comes to power consumption. The smartphone uses the Adreno 618 GPU with its speed clocked at 750MHz
The RAM space available on the device comes in 2; a 6GB version and an 8GB version. The 6GB version is paired with a 64GB storage or a 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB variant only has 128GB of storage. Storage can be upgraded via a Micro SD card up to 512GB.
The Snapdragon 720G being a gaming processor means games like PUBG should load well without any noticeable glitch and the RAM options will help keep multitasking smooth.
