Olamide grew up in Bariga, Lagos State and is believed to have completed his early childhood, primary and secondary education there.
However it has been confirmed that he went to Tai Solarin University of Education, sited in Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. It was there, where he completed his tertiary education and is recognized as a notable alumni.

Under this record label, he released 8 albums namely; Baddest Guy Ever Liveth in 2013, Street OT in 2014, 2 Kings and Eyan Mayweather in 2015, The Glory and one compilation, “The Best of Olamide” in 2016.
The YBNL album production was handled by Tyrone (producer), Samklef, 2 Kriss, Pheelz and ID Cabasa. The album features guest artists such as Davido, Tiwa Savage, Kayswitch, Dammy Krane, Reminisce, Samklef, Buckwylla, Minus 2 and Base One.
The album was supported by the singles “Ilefo Illuminati”, “First of All”, “Stupid Love” and “Voice of the Street”.
