Every year, the network introduces a full range of new holiday programs that are destined to become classics in the future.

These programs bring back the cast members of all of your favorite television series and inspire people all over the world to believe in the power of magic.

The traditional holiday programming offered by Lifetime often focuses on an intelligent young lady as she searches for the “real meaning of Christmas,” following a pattern that has been tested and proven successful.

Soon enough, she finds herself in the position of trying to persuade Raymond, Emma’s dad (played by Corey Sevier), to take part in the local festival so that they may have one more, beautiful Christmas season.

5. A Welcome Home Christmas (2020)

A Welcome Home Christmas is another addition to the list of lifetime Christmas movies to watch.

In the movie, Chloe, played by Jana Kramer, and Michael, played by Brandon Quinn, meet one other during a toy drive over the holiday season.

Michael is a veteran who has only just come home, and the two of them are working together to persuade other veterans and members of the armed forces to take part in the holiday activities.

7. A Picture Perfect Holiday (2021)

9. Steppin into the Holiday (2022)

Steppin into the Holiday is one of the inspirational lifetime Christmas movies for families to watch.

In the movie, Mario Lopez is a prominent television personality who, when he reaches a block in his career, is forced to return to the simpler life of his hometown.

Back in his hometown, he strikes up a friendship with the character of Jana Kramer from One Tree Hill, a local dance instructor who has a passion for both the community and cabaret.

10. Merry Swissmas (2022)

Alex, a busy architect played by Jodie Sweetin, used to enjoy Christmas up until the time when her closest friend started dating her ex-boyfriend.

As of right now, her mother is in the process of establishing an inn in Switzerland, which means that the next holiday season is sure to be action-packed and full of attractive single fathers.

11. Christmas Ever After  (2020)

Just like other lifetime Christmas movies on this list, Christmas Ever After is another thriller worth your time.

Tony-winner Izzi, portrayed by Ali Stroker, is a romance author who has a tradition of spending the holiday season at a certain bed and breakfast.

When she meets the new proprietor of the bed and breakfast, Matt (Daniel di Tomasso), who is quite handsome and resembles the protagonist in her books in a number of ways, her writer’s block is instantly lifted.

12. The Christmas Temp(2019)

Even though it’s the holiday season, you should make every effort not to develop romantic feelings for the head of the human resources department at your firm the next time you’re sitting in that department.

In The Christmas Temp, an unemployed artist is helped by a temp agency to find some enjoyable employment related to the holiday season.

She has no idea how strikingly good-looking the Human Resources manager will be.

13. Holly’s Holiday (2012)

In the film Mannequin, in which Kim Cattrall appeared years before she became famous for her role in Sex and the City, she portrayed the title character, a clotheshorse that came to life and fell in love with Andrew McCarthy.

One of Lifetime Christmas movies, Holly’s Holiday, also known as A Perfect Christmas, is a gender-swapped version of the film.

In this version, Holly (who, of course, has a Christmasy name), falls in love with a gorgeous mannequin named Bo, despite the fact that he has a psychotic ex-girlfriend who is also a dummy.

This one is really unoriginal, and it’s hard to see how you could possibly expect to compete with Mannequin.

14. Finding Mrs. Claus (2012)

Finding Mrs. Claus, one of the lifetime Christmas movies, is one of the few Lifetime movies that can brag about having an actual Oscar winner in its cast, and Mira Sorvino, who plays Mrs. Claus, is one of those rare actors.

As it turns out, her marriage to Santa Claus, who is portrayed by MadTV’s Will Sasso, has reached a rocky patch; so, when she receives a Christmas letter from a lonely young girl, she travels to Las Vegas to attend a few reindeer games.

After seeing this movie, you may never look at Santa the same way again—and I don’t mean it in a positive manner.

15. 12 Wishes of Christmas (2011)

Try watching “12 Wishes of Christmas”, one of the lifetime Christmas movies, if you’ve ever been curious about what a Christmas movie composed solely of cliches may look like (alternative title: 12 Christmas Wishes for My Dog).

The character of Maura, a self-absorbed lady whose life has struck a tough patch, is portrayed by Elisa Donovan.

She enlists the services of a shady life coach with the Christmassy moniker Noel, who bestows upon her a total of 12 wishes, all of which she utilizes for her own benefit until she recalls what Christmas is really about. There is, in fact, a romantic component to the plot.

Highlights of the cast include a large number of dogs, Michael Gross from “Family Ties,” and Gabrielle Carteris, a former cast member of “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

An excellent option if you are also familiar with a drinking game that involves shallow people and poor decisions in life.

16. The Christmas Consultant (2012)

The fact that it stars David Hasselhoff should automatically rank The Christmas Consultant top of our list of Lifetime Christmas movies, but there is one minor element that prevents it from reaching that position: it is as gloomy as Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree.

In the movie, Caroline Rhea and Barclay Hope play harried parents who realize they need the assistance of a party planner (played by Hasselhoff) to pull off their annual Christmas celebration.

Soon, any pretense of a happy family is destroyed (treatment! bullies! loss of job!) and Hasselhoff does his best to spread Christmas happiness, despite the fact that his own background story is enough to make Tiny Tim weep into his Christmas pudding.

17. Heaven Sent (2016)

There is nothing more heartwarming than the story of a kid angel who is given to a couple that is on the brink of divorcing to rekindle their relationship.

When an “eight-year-old fugitive from Heaven” is delivered by UPS, the couple is overjoyed to have this young girl in their midst, even if Ernie Hudson’s character is the only one who can see her.

However, given that he is a Ghostbuster, it somewhat makes logical that he would be able to see her.

However, this one is not exactly going to prevent you from switching channels over the Christmas season.

18. Christmas on the Bayou (2013)

A stressed-out single mother (Hilarie Burton) decides to spend the holiday season with her hometown and family in a tiny town in Louisiana.

Because she has some work to complete during the holidays, her family spends the whole week attempting to divert her attention away from the dangers posed by modern technology and stop her from carrying out her responsibilities.

She, for some inexplicable reason, does not see it as bothersome, but rather as a helpful opportunity to get insight into the real meaning of Christmas and maybe even find true love.

Country music singer Randy Travis, actor Ed Asner, and actor Markie Post, who is most known for his role in Night Court, all appear in this movie.

Like others on the list, Christmas on Bayou is also one of the best lifetime Christmas movies you should add to your collection.

19. All I Want for Christmas (2013)

This is not to be confused with the Christmas movie of the same name produced by Hallmark, which can be found on the Hallmark Channel.

The version produced by Lifetime features a busy executive who receives a Christmas gift she doesn’t really want: the ability to hear everyone’s thoughts thanks to a special Christmas pin.

She makes the decision to put her newfound power to good use by working on herself to become a more admirable person, finding true love, and, of course, discovering the meaning of Christmas. The fact that Tom Arnold appears in this movie lends it some bonus points.

20. Wish Upon a Christmas (2015)

Amelia is a very effective corporate shark who has been given the responsibility of turning around a struggling Christmas ornament firm.

She is excited to go back to her hometown and meet her father, who was portrayed by the late Alan Thicke, but things at work get more difficult for her when she learns that her high school boyfriend is the owner of the business.

Can you make a prediction as to whether she will discover the real meaning of Christmas and love, or if she will fire all of the employees at the ornament factory? This is one of the lifetime Christmas movies that will keep entertained at night.

21. A Nanny for the Christmas (2010)

It happens that when you walk in for an interview for a position as an advertising executive, you end up being employed instead as a nanny.

Emmanuelle Vaugier plays the role of the ersatz nanny who, rather than becoming irritated by the error, chooses to just go along with the employment switcheroo.

After all, a woman just cannot avoid the workforce. She quickly learns that the children have extremely strict parents and a lot of regulations to adhere to.

If you’ve watched The Sound of Music, this is pretty much the same thing, except with more Dean Cain.

22. The March Sisters Christmas (2012)

Who exactly gave Lifetime permission to touch such revered works of literature?

This popular novel by Louisa May Alcott is given a contemporary makeover in the form of one of the best lifetime Christmas movies that places the four March sisters in the present day.

Meg can’t get over her breakup with her ex-boyfriend, Amy got in trouble with the police in Thailand and the rest of the trade men like Pokémon cards. Jo works as a ghost tweeter for a teen pop star.

The feuding sisters decide to work together in order to preserve their family home, although Louisa May’s spirit surely performed a facepalm when Jo dubbed her sisters “slutsicles” in reference to their appearance.

23. A Country Christmas Story (2013)

It’s not typical for one of the lifetime Christmas movies, to begin with the protagonist’s dysfunctional family, yet here we are.

Grace (Desiree Ross) is a gifted singer-songwriter who is torn between her parents, both of whom are furious over their divorce.

When her mother (Megyn Price) sends her out of the home for playing guitar, the tension reaches its highest point.

Her mother does this because playing the guitar is a reminder that her father (Brian McKnight) abandoned them to pursue his musical goals.

Fortunately, Dolly Parton comes to the rescue (!!) with her talent competition, and music is able to bring the family back together.

This is a typical Lifetime movie in that it has equal parts of heartwarming and heartbreaking moments, as well as some musical interludes.

It doesn’t even come close to being classified as a Christmas movie because the only references to the holiday are some background props and a brief performance of “Jingle Bells.”

24. Deck the Halls (2005)

Deck the Halls, one of the lifetime Christmas movies, is a spoof on Miracle on 34th Street that was produced by Lifetime in 2005.

Somehow, the network was able to include both its single mom cliché and Christmasy-named characters in this obviously ridiculous production.

In order to take a job in her father’s toy company, Holly, played by Gabrielle Carteris, moves back to her hometown with her son Ben, now eight years old.

Ben is led to believe that their new next-door neighbor, Nick (Steve Bacic), is in fact Santa Claus after meeting him for the first time.

He tries all in his power to set up his mother with Santa so that they may spend the rest of their lives together in a state of bliss at the North Pole.

25. A Christmas Angel (2009)

A Christmas Angel, one of the lifetime Christmas movies, is a straightforward retelling of the classic “girl needs a job, ends up working for Santa” tale, and should not be confused with Hallmark’s Angel of Christmas.

In the movie, Ashley is looking for employment all the time and her kind next-door neighbor, who is also called Nick, offers to hire her as his assistant.

The one and only restriction is that she is not allowed to reveal to anybody that he is a kind of nameless Santa Claus who spends his days assisting people behind their backs.

Then, Ashley crosses up with Will, a shady but attractive journalist who is aching for a story to write. Ashley is obligated to do all in her power to keep Nick’s secret, as well as her own heart.

26. All About Christmas Eve (2012)

Just like other lifetime Christmas movies All About Christmas Eve is the perfect choice for families to watch this Christmas holiday.

Eve is a hard-working party planner living in New York City who has a terrible work-life balance. Haylie Duff plays the role of Eve.

However, since she works as a party planner, the holiday season is her busiest time of the year, and her boyfriend wants to take her on a romantic getaway at that time.

She is forced to make a choice between love and her work when a client asks her to arrange a large event in Los Angeles, and both stories unfold in a manner similar to that of the film Sliding Doors.

27. Comfort and Joy (2003)

The storyline of this movie is quite similar to that of A Snow Globe Christmas (which ranked higher).

The character of Jane, a workaholic advertising executive portrayed by Nancy McKeon, wakes up to discover that she is a contentedly married stay-at-home mother of two children.

Even while it’s admirable that Lifetime is addressing the issue of whether or not a woman should be a working mother or a stay-at-home mother, it seems that the network is unaware of the fact that women may both be employed and raise a family at the same time.

28. A Christmas Reunion (2015)

Denise Richards, a former Bond girl and a member of the band Wild Thing, plays the role of Amy, a Madison Avenue executive who goes back to her hometown for the holiday season after the death of her aunt.

Amy had a difficult upbringing since her parents were killed in an accident when she was young, and her aunt was responsible for her care. Amy is profoundly impacted by the death of her parents.

But when her dictatorial employer makes a visit, Amy starts to think about ignoring her aunt’s dying desire, which is for Amy and her ex-boyfriend to manage their aunt’s bakery and co-host the town’s annual Christmas baking competition.

Everyone is aware that Christmas cookies are a gateway drug to love. This is common knowledge.

29. A Christmas Wedding Date (2012)

The only thing that could be worse than attending the wedding of your closest friend alone is being compelled to repeat the ceremony several times in an effort to perfect it.

Marla Sokoloff, a frequent on television movies, plays the role of Rebecca, a Wall Street executive who travels back to her tiny hometown for a friend’s wedding.

A Christmas Wedding Date, one of the best lifetime Christmas movies, stars Marla Sokoloff.

She discovers the real meaning of Christmas and, of course, the one true love with the assistance of a magical Christmas ornament.

Notable actors cast include George Wendt, who previously appeared on Cheers, and Will Lexington, who played Chris Carmack on Nashville.

30. A Very Nutty Christmas (2018)

In this episode, Melissa Joan Hart portrays Kate Holiday, a hardworking bakery entrepreneur (wow for a Christmas name!).

In case you were worried that Melissa Joan Hart wasn’t receiving enough Christmas-related TV roles, this episode should put your mind at ease.

While Kate is up to her elbows in Christmas cookie orders, her jerk of a boyfriend dumps her in the days leading up to Christmas. Kate is up to her elbows in Christmas cookie orders.

She goes to sleep and when she wakes up, there is a lovely soldier sitting in her living room. This may be the result of a stress-induced hallucination or a magical decoration.

It turns out that Chip (a regular on one of the Lifetime Christmas movies, named Barry Watson), who may or may not be the Nutcracker Prince from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, which is comforting enough for Kate to contemplate falling in love with him or at the very least not calling the police on him.

31. A Very Merry Toy Store (2017)

Both Mario Lopez and Melissa Joan Hart, who plays a single mother in the film, run competing toy stores and have tangled family histories.

However, they have no option but to work together in order to combat the unethical owner of a large box shop that moves into their little Connecticut town.

Will these competitors be able to salvage their shops, Christmas, and find love as they battle The Man? Have you ever seen a movie on Lifetime that didn’t finish in the way that I just described?

Despite the film’s cloying obviousness, it earns points for basically being the A-Team of Lifetime movies, starring not only Hart and Lopez but also Sex and the City’s Mario Cantone and Hart’s Sabrina the Teenage Witch co-star Beth Broderick (a.k.a. Aunt Zelda), playing her mom.

While the film loses points for its cloying obviousness, it earns points for basically being the A-Team of Lifetime movies.

32. Becoming Santa (2015)

Becoming Santa is another addition to our list of lifetime Christmas movies.

In the movie, there is a couple that is about to be married, and it just so happens that one of them is the only child that Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus ever had.

This time, it will be the daughter, and whoever marries her will need to be ready to fill her father’s shoes when he passes away.

As was the case with the film’s predecessor, the fact that it includes a brief reunion of the cast of a well-liked sitcom is the most enjoyable aspect of the movie.

This time around, the roles of Santa and Mrs. Claus are played by Meredith Baxter and Michael Gross from Family Ties.

33. Christmas Around the Corner (2018)

This time around, Claire (played by Alexandra Breckenridge of American Horror Story) is a sophisticated venture capitalist from New York City who travels to a lovely village in Vermont for the holidays.

She develops strong feelings for the charming Fortenbury Bookstore almost immediately, but she despises its proprietor, Andrew (Jamie Spilchuk), since he dismisses her suggestions on how to keep the shop open.

In the world of Lifetime Christmas movies, it’s just a matter of time until people go from hating each other passionately to sending each other emoticons with love eyes.

After some time has passed, Claire and Andrew begin to develop romantic feelings for one another.

This continues until Claire learns that Andrew intends to sell the bookshop. The gall of the man to sell his own enterprise!

It is possible that he will change his mind about what he wants, particularly if Claire gives up her position on Wall Street and comes to Vermont.

34. Will You Merry Me? (2008)

It is impossible to dispute that this one has a wonderful title. The question now is whether or not Rebecca’s Jewish parents and Henry’s Christmas-loving family, the Kringles, will be able to find a way to get along in spite of their different religious views and the various ways in which they celebrate Christmas.

This cheesy idea is saved by actors Wendie Malick and Cynthia Stevenson, to tell you the truth, should be starring in every single Lifetime Christmas movies.

35. A Twist of Christmas (2018)

Why should there be just one single parent who finds out what the genuine meaning of Christmas is when there could be two single parents who find out the meaning of Christmas together?

Both Abby (Vanessa Lachey), a busy working mom, and Ryan (Brendon Zub), a single dad lawyer, despise each other almost immediately upon meeting, which is the best possible recipe for love in the Lifetime Christmas kitchen.

They can’t help but band together to rescue Christmas when a tragic mix-up at a toy shop threatens to destroy the holiday for both of their families, but they have no idea that they are falling for one other in the process of saving Christmas.

36. Christmas Lost and Found (2018)

Tiya Sircar, who plays Whitney Kennison on The Good Place, portrays New York City event designer Whitney Kennison, who travels from New York City to Chicago so that she may spend Christmas with her grandmother Frances (Diane Ladd).

In order to show her appreciation, Grandma Frances decides to give her granddaughter Whitney the family ornaments (this is not a euphemism), but Whitney destroys the box by accident.

Grandma Frances decides not to cut off communication with her granddaughter Whitney and instead creates a Christmas scavenger hunt in order to teach her about the true meaning of the holiday.

If during the course of the hunt Whitney falls in love, relocates to Chicago, and quits her job, Grandma Frances will be overjoyed.

This is also one of the lifetime Christmas movies to watch during the Christmas holidays.

37. Merry In-laws(2012)

The holidays are difficult for Santa and Mrs. Claus because they have to supervise the production of toys for all of the good boys and girls and make deliveries on a very tight deadline.

However, this is nothing compared to the stress they feel when they have to spend time with their son’s future wife, who is a scientist, and her gloomy parents.

Fans of the television show Cheers will be thrilled to learn that Shelley Long and George Wendt, who play the cheerful in-laws, will be reuniting on the show.

38. Dear Santa (2011)

Amy Acker, well known for her roles in Angel and Alias, plays the lead character in Dear Santa, one of lifetime Christmas movies, an affluent girl whose parents threaten to deactivate her credit cards if she does not make significant changes to her lifestyle.

Her brilliant strategy consisted of making a little girl’s Christmas wish come true by marrying the girl’s father. What are the worst-case scenarios that may occur?

The fact that Jason Priestley, who stars in Beverly Hills, 90210, directed this film is the cherry on top of this cinematic confection. Do you truly need further information beyond that?

39. Love at the Christmas Table (2012)

One Christmas, Sam and Kat first became acquainted at the children’s table, which marked the beginning of a lasting friendship that has the potential to develop into a romantic relationship.

More than a dozen different Christmas Eve get-togethers serve as the setting for the events that take place in the movie, which helps the movie receive marks for its extensive celebrations.

When it comes to standout casting, this movie has Scott Patterson, who played Luke on Gilmore Girls, as well as not one but two competitors from Dancing With the Stars: Lea Thompson and Danica McKellar, who were both in Back to the Future.

40. Christmas in Paradise (2007)

We have discovered it: one of the most popular lifetime Christmas movies produced by Lifetime that takes place on a cruise ship.

The members of two different families, headed by the actor Colin Ferguson (Eureka) and Charlotte Ross (NYPD Blue), decide that they want to get away from the unpleasant memories of previous Christmases.

They board a massive boat and go to Puerto Rico to celebrate the holiday there. The two families get closer, but the situation becomes difficult when his ex-wife attends the gathering.

41. The Flight Before Christmas (2015)

This is for you if you’ve ever fantasized about a crossover between Family Matters and The Big Bang Theory.

Mayim Bialik’s boyfriend breaks up with her only a few days before Christmas, and she decides that it’s best to spend the holiday with her own family rather than with anybody else.

Unfortuitously, bad weather forces her plane to make an unscheduled landing in Montana, where she is forced to share the town’s last hotel room with an incredibly attractive stranger (Ryan McPartlin) who just so happens to walk around with a towel casually slung around his waist.

The two of them quickly become romantically involved with one another. Family Matters actors Reginald VelJohnson and Jo Marie Payton are lending their talents to the project of turning this “meet-cute” into a full-length feature film.

42. Christmas Love Letter (2019)

When an advice columnist comes upon an unsigned love letter, she becomes desperate to track out the writer, who, of course, resides in the same city as she does.

She does a whole Nancy Drew on the situation rather than only publishing the letter on the Facebook page for her area or informing a local news agency that is seeking a pleasant and fuzzy Christmas story.

During the time that she spends searching for love, she stumbles into a superior and distinctive kind of love. Your collection of lifetime Christmas movies would not be complete without Christmas Love Letter.

43. Christmas Gift (2015)

Michelle Trachtenberg, well known for her roles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl, plays the role of a reporter who is looking for the guy who gave her a memorable Secret Santa present when they were children.

She gets the approval of her editor before she employs all of her journalistic abilities (such as dressing up in a cocktail dress) to find him so that she may express her gratitude to him in person for the present he gave her.

Then, in a move that is very unprofessional despite the fact that it is not really shocking, she falls in love with him. The fact that this movie was inspired by a happy and inspiring true tale might make you feel even better about seeing it.

44. The Real St. Nick (2012)

This movie, which takes place in a mental institution, unmistakably borrows heavily from the plot of Miracle on 34th Street. A mystery someone identified as Nick Claus comes to Kate’s aid and saves her life.

Kate is a doctor. She then takes him to her hospital, where he immediately gets to work spreading Christmas cheer to the patients, angering the hospital administrator who is modeled after Ebenezer Scrooge, and, of course, earning Kate’s affection.

47. Santa’s Boots (2018)

It’s easy to see this as a Christmas-themed retelling of Kinky Boots, given that it includes a family firm that’s on the verge of failure.

However, instead of turning to the world of sexy footwear for a miracle, the business resorts to Santa Claus for help.

Holly, played by Megan Hilty (wow for a Christmas name! ), is filling in as a Santa’s Helper at her parents’ faltering department shop when she commits the ultimate no-no—she falls for her Santa.

Holly’s parents’ department business is in the process of closing down. After that, cheery old Nick transforms into the ghost of lovers’ past and vanishes, leaving behind just a boot as a clue.
