Kcee Age
Kcee was born on the 18th April, 1979, in Ajegunle, a ghetto region in Lagos, Nigeria to late Mr Okonkwo. His father was a DJ, his dad’s occupation played a major role in his love for music. Kcee is originally from Uli, Anambra State. He is the elder brother to E- Money.

This is where Kcee completed his primary school education, where he received his First School Leaving Certificate in Ajegunle. He furthered his secondary education in Central High School which is located at Isolo.
Kcee decided to start his career in music, he got support and approval from his mother but disapproval from his father. His father intended him to study medicine or law at the University.

Kcee set began to nurse his stardom desires in his church choir group as he was a member, where he he was known to have become friends with Presh.
His music journey zoom off in 2002 when he was one of the participant of the show “Star Quest”. He emerged the winner of the competition and was awarded the sum of N20,000 for his victory.
At the early stage of his long and fruitful music journey, Kcee decided not to go through it alone as he partnered with his good friend, Presh, to pursue their career together. The two friends decided to become a duo.
They formed a duo known as “Kcee Presh” which won the Star Quest TV show and thrived together for many years. The duo contributed to Nigeria’s Afropop industry with their fascinating and creative songs.
Kcee and Presh signed an interesting record deal with Nigeria’s biggest record label of the time “Kennis Music”. After a while they made up their mind to leave the label and move on to producing their own, which they named “KP Records”. Within a short time, they changed the name of the label, and renamed it “Blingz Records”.
Under this renamed label, the duo produced one album in 2008, named “No Time”, with a leading single called “Shokori bobo”.
However, the partnership of Kcee and Presh did not stand the test of time, immediately after twelve years of being active in the Nigerian music entertainment, the duo dispersed in 2011, when they had some major disagreements.
They made up their mind and came to the conclusion that, it would be for the best to go their different ways in order to achieve their different desires.
After the dispersion, Kcee set up a fresh label titled “Five Star Music”. The journey of Kcee music career took a huge turn around after the release of his popular song “Limpopo”.
This single became extremely popular and was loved by many Nigerians, this released single took Kcee to the peak of Nigerian Afropop music. As the musician Kcee revealed, that his hit song which he wrote in less than 40mins was shock to him as it became huge hit.
His record label is known to organise the Uli music festival in Anambra state every year. In 2013, Kcee released another history of his best album “Take Over”.
