Legally Blonde is a famous movie released in 2001. It follows the life of a fashion queen whose boyfriend dumps for a more brilliant girl.

To get her revenge, Elle follows him to law school but soon realizes she has other potential other than looks and fashion.

The lead character, Resse Witherspoon, performed wonderfully with humor, romance, and exciting performances.

Luckily, she met a doorman, Sidney (Bob Newhart), who helped teach her how the political system works. 

In this sequel, we can still see the original performance of Resse Witherspoon and other new characters we were introduced to.

2. 13 Going on 30 (2004)

Luckily for her, some wishing dust woke her to a banging body, her dream job and apartment, lots of clothes, and a dream boyfriend.

However, with all these, Jenna (Jennifer Garner) is unsatisfied and realizes her childhood best friend is all she needs. 

This movie from my list of movies like Legally Blonde, has almost the same fashion sense as Elle. On Rotten Tomatoes, 13 Going on 30 is rated 65%.

3. Erin Brockovich (2000)

From there, she single-handedly stands up and brings down a power company responsible for polluting the city’s water supply. 

You will love this movie about strong-willed women who stood up for their rights. Erin Brockovich is rated 85% by Rotten Tomatoes.

4. Love & Basketball (2000)

This romantic American movie is about Monica (Kyla Pratt), a young basketball player who moves in next door to another lover of basketball, Quincy (Glenndon Chatman), when she is eleven.

The duo grew up together with their love of basketball from childhood to adulthood.

However, Monica (Sanaa Lathan) has to choose between love and becoming the best basketball player. 

All characters brought their A-game to the movie, and it reflected in the ratings; for example, Love & Basketball was rated 85% by Rotten Tomatoes.

5. Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001)

However, she changes her perspective on life when choosing between her two love interests – Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) and Mark Darcy (Colin Firth). 

Bridget’s lifestyle in this movie will interest you and keep you entertained. On Rotten Tomatoes, Bridget Jones’s Diary is rated 80%.

However, when it is time for elections, and Tracy is unopposed, her social studies teacher has other plans to stop her from getting to victory. 

You will thoroughly enjoy this movie, especially if you love high school movies. On Rotten Tomatoes, Elections is rated 92%.

However, when she follows him to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore, Rachel learns Nick is from one of the wealthiest families and is one of the most eligible bachelors.

She must contend with his disapproving mother, relatives, and the new spotlight.

Crazy Rich Asians is a romantic film with a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Everyone tells her to avoid the mean girls popularly known as The Plastics, led by Regina (Rachel McAdams).

However, Cady is in trouble when she falls in love with Regina’s ex-boyfriend, Aaron (Jonathan Bennett). 

Mean Girls got a positive, high rating of 84% from Rotten Tomatoes.

After having lots of trouble, this duo must come together as they might learn something from each other. 

Although this movie, just like some other movies like Legally Blonde, had a low rating on Rotten Tomatoes (13%), the storyline is relatable, and you will enjoy it.

12. Clueless (1995)

She succeeds with her friend Dionne (Stacey Dash) in matchmaking two of her teachers and decides to find a boyfriend for another student till it hits her that she needs a boyfriend for herself but cannot find the best one.

The process causes her to understand that her clothes, popularity, and beauty cannot get her the boy of her dreams. 

Clueless is rated 81% by Rotten Tomatoes. One thing you will enjoy in the movie is the fashion sense of Cher.

But, he cannot date her as Bianca’s father rules that the anti-social older sister, Kat (Julia Stiles), must have a boyfriend before she gets one.

To save her love, Cameron pays a boy, Patrick (Heath Ledger), to charm Kat and date her. 

This romantic comedy movie has some melodious music you would love. On Rotten Tomatoes, 10 Things I Hate About You is rated 71%.
