Adam Richard Wiles, professionally known as Calvin Harris, is a Scottish DJ, record producer, singer, and songwriter from Dumfries, Scotland.
He is known for his singles “We Found Love,” “Summer,” “This Is What You Came For,” “Feel So Close,” “Outside,” “Feels,” and “One Kiss.”
He rose to prominence in the International scene with the release of his third studio album, 19 Months, in 2012. The album went on to top the UK charts and became his first studio album to climb the Billboard 200 chart in the United States, peaking at number 19.
He has released five studio albums and has his own record label, Fly Eye Records, which he created in 2010.

Calvin Harris Biography
Adam Richard Wiles was born on January 17, 1984, in Dumfries, Scotland, and is the youngest son among three children of biochemist David Wiles and his beloved wife, Pamela. He grew up in Dumfries, where he attended Dumfries High School.
Adam started to show great interest in electronic music during his teenage years. After High School, he started working in supermarkets and also in the local fish processing factory to be able to save up to purchase his first DJ gear. He began recording demos in 1999 in his bedroom.
At age 18, he released the songs Brighter Days and Da Bongos. After that, Adam moved to London with the intention of learning more about the music industry and going into music full time.
Adam was only able to release a few songs throughout his stay in London. For this reason, coupled with the lack of job opportunities and money, he had no choice but to go back home in Dumfries.
But he didn’t stop there, as he continued chasing his dream, he started to upload homemade recordings on his Myspace page. Adam’s popularity soon grew and caught the attention of Mark Gillespie, who signed him to his management company.
Music Career
After taking the stage name Calvin Harris, and In 2006, he signed contracts with Three Six Zero Group, EMI, and Sony BMG, for management, publishing, and recording.
That same year, he generated a remix of the single ‘Rock Steady.’ in 2007, He went on to release his first album, titled I Created Disco, the album was certified Gold in the UK by British Phonographic Industry (BPI) on May 23, 2008.
The album was inspired by the 1980’s music, and it is known that Calvin wrote, produced, and performed all the 14 tracks in the album.
It debuted at number 8 on UK Albums Chart and climbed up as top UK Dance Albums. Its success got Calvin the attention of other renowned artists with whom he soon started to collaborate with on further projects.
