1. Holiday Rush (2019)

Holiday Rush follows the story of a single father. As his four entitled children exchange their extravagant Christmas lists, DJ Rashon “Rush” Williams loses his job.  

Rush’s producer and aunt intend to assist him in purchasing a new station in Pittsburgh if the Williams family can downsize quickly and embrace a simpler lifestyle.  

Furthermore, a loving father reconnects with his children in this beautiful film as they all understand that true joy comes from who you have, not what you have.

2. The Holiday Calendar (2018)

The Holiday Calendar is also one of the best black Christmas movies of all time. It is about a struggling but skilled photographer.

Walter Meyer is a retired mechanic who has been without love for about a year. However, he invites his now-grown children and their families to his house for a traditional holiday feast (where they all grew up).  

Additionally, Walter quickly recognizes that spending five days under the same roof with his warring children and the rest of the family will be a Christmas miracle.

4. This Christmas (2007)

This Christmas is a film about the Whitfield family reuniting for the holidays. Some family secrets are revealed, so it’s not all Christmas carols and holiday bliss.

5. Black Nativity (2013)

Black Nativity follows the story of Langston, a streetwise adolescent. He is assigned to spend Christmas with his estranged relatives in New York City.  

However, he goes on a fantastic life journey while spending his days there. Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Jennifer Hudson, Tyrese Gibson, Jacob Lismore.  

6. Black Christmas (2019)

Black Christmas is one of the best black Christmas seasons for a holiday. For the holidays, Hawthorne College will be closed.

An anonymous stalker is killing sorority ladies on campus one by one.  

Additionally, on the other hand, the killer is about to discover that this generation’s young women aren’t eager to be hapless victims as they prepare to battle to the death.

8. Last Holiday (2006)

Last Holiday is one of the best black Christmas movies to get you in the holiday spirit. Furthermore, it is true in death. Georgia Byrd works as a clerk in a retail store in New Orleans.  

She avoids pleasure: She cooks gourmet dinners and eats Lean Cuisine; she quietly admires a coworker; she has money but hasn’t left Louisiana.  

However, when a CT scan reveals she has three weeks to live, everything changes. She withdraws her savings and travels to the Czech Republic’s Grandhotel Pupp, where Chef Didier is in charge. 

Additionally, she checks into the Presidential Suite, orders everything on the menu, snowboards, and draws the chef’s and the hotel’s influential American visitors’ attention: a Congressman, a Senator, a retail billionaire, and his mistress.

9. Miss Me This Christmas (2017)

Miss me this Christmas follows Regina’s story. She remains at the Chesterton Hotel, where she and her ex were married while coming to terms with the fact that her divorce will be completed on Christmas Day.  

Soon after, however, she embarks on a whirlwind romance that takes her mind off her problems. Starring Eva Marcille, Erica Ash, and Redaric Williams. 

10. The App That Stole Christmas (2020)

The App That Stole Christmas is also among the best black Christmas movies.

Furthermore, the app That Stole Christmas tells the story of Felix Rhome, an inventor who created a super-powerful app that makes Christmas shopping a breeze with a single click.  

However, his company, Amazon, has become a Fortune 100 company because of its unique Christmas App, and he is the brains behind it.

Additionally, Felix is quite proud of what he has produced and the financial success, but he eventually realizes that his App is hurting the Christmas joy. 

11. A Madea Christmas (2013)

Madea is persuaded to assist a friend in paying her daughter a surprise Christmas visit to the country, but the biggest surprise is what they discover when they arrive.  

Furthermore, new secrets are uncovered, and old relationships are strained as the small, rural town prepares for its annual Christmas Carnival.

13. The Preacher’s Wife (1996)

The Preacher’s Wife is one of the best black Christmas movies of all time. Pleasant to be around, Reverend Henry Biggs’ marriage to choir mistress Julia is sagging due to his regular absence caring for the underprivileged neighborhood they dwell in.  

On top of that, Joe Hamilton, a property developer, is threatening his church. Furthermore, Rev. Biggs prays to God for help in desperation, and support comes in the guise of an angel named Dudley.

14. A Christmas Duet (2019)

An innkeeper rekindles her love of music and her passion for her old music partner while arranging a Christmas event, competing for the Top Winter Lodge Award, and starring Rome Flynn, Charley Rose, Lane Edwards, Chiara Zanni, and Mike Dopud.  

15. The Perfect Holiday (2007)

The youngest daughter of a divorced mother of three devises a scheme to cheer her mother over the holidays. By having the department store, Santa Claus pays her mother a compliment.  

However, the rest, as they say, is history. Starring Katt Williams, Queen Latifah, Gabrielle Union, Morris Chestnut, Terrence Howard, Charlie Murphy. 

16. The Christmas Doctor (2020)

The Christmas Doctor is one of the best black Christmas movies to watch this holiday season. When a traveling doctor is sent to a small-town clinic for the holidays, she quickly feels at ease after making a new friend.

It stars Adrain Holmes, Holly Robinson Peete, Fred Henderson, Nicole Anthony, and Bronwen Smith. 

17. A Diva’s Christmas Carol (2000)

Christmas is simply another day of the year for famous singer Ebony Scrooge.

It is another day to exploit her entourage, trash her family, and steal from the least poor until a disastrous Christmas Eve changes her tune forever.  

However, the l ghost of Ebony’s former singing partner, Marli Jacob, appears and tells the improbable Diva that three spirits will visit her.

Furthermore, when Alice, Lucy’s older sister who has special needs, passes unexpectedly, Lucy goes to Nilson’s Bay, Wisconsin, to attend the burial and administer her estate.

While Lucy dreads returning to her childhood home, she regrets not answering her sister’s final call. 

Additionally, when she returns to Nilson’s Bay, Lucy encounters Peter, her old high school boyfriend and Alice’s former attorney.

He informs her of Alice’s eccentric will provisions, which indicates that Lucy has the home.

21. The Kid Who Loved Christmas (1990)

The Kid Who Loved Christmas is one of the best black Christmas movies ever. Additionally, when the woman of a couple hoping to adopt a son is murdered in a car accident.  

A family is torn apart at Christmas. The husband, a musician, is considered unfit to parent a child. Starring Cicely Tyson, Gilbert Lewis, Michael Warren, Charlie Murphy.
