Top 17 Anime Like Fire Force

Anime Like Fire ForcePin

Fire Force is one of the most popular animes of the summer 2019 anime season, so looking for an anime like Fire Force is not out of place. Shinra Kusakabe, a member of the 8th Special Fire Brigade, is the protagonist.

The Brigade’s mission is to eliminate infernals, people who mysteriously burst into flames and cause devastation in the community. Shinra is a third-generation ability user who can control and create fire.

While this makes it simpler for him to take on Infernals, it also relates to a traumatic personal background that may prevent him from being the hero he craves.

If you enjoy watching Fire Force or want some more shows like it, here are 17 great picks for you:

1. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, a kid whose sister Nezuko was converted into a demon after being bitten in an attack that killed the rest of his family stars in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

Tanjiro isn’t out for vengeance; instead, he wants to find a way to change his sister’s mind.

Demon Slayer, like Fire Force, takes place in a world where regular people can transform into violent monsters at any time.

In most circumstances, the intention is to eradicate them, but if that person demonstrates self-awareness or is a valued family member, the situation changes. This movie is one of them if you want an anime like Fire Force.

2. My Hero Academia

This movie certainly rings a bell for an anime like Fire Force. Izuku Midoriya desires to be a hero more than anything else in the world, much like the man he admires, All Might.

To do this, he will go to any length, even if it means putting himself at risk. Shinra Kusakabe also aspires to be a hero, which connects these two shows.

That being said, Shinra’s preoccupation with heroism derives less from respect for others and more from a need to prove that he isn’t a monster following an occurrence that killed his family.

Aside from the protagonists’ desire to show off their heroic sides, both shows present a society in which the so-called heroes aren’t precisely what they appear to be.

Most of them are probably good, but there are some real concerns about the structure supporting them.

3. Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan and Fire Force is centered around organizations dedicated to defending the community against hostile, otherworldly forces.

While Infernals are the main threat to the cast of Fire Force, the characters in Attack on Titan must battle with Titans, enormous humanoid creatures who consume humans.

These entities were formerly human in both circumstances. However, while Fire Force shows it immediately, Attack on Titan takes its time.

Furthermore, both organizations dedicated to dealing with these beings are extremely corrupt in ways that aren’t obvious at the start of the series but become clear as the series progresses. See this one if you are a fan of anime like Fire Force.

4. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

If you’re an enthusiast of anime like Fire Force, you’ve probably already seen Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. However, if you’re a Fire Force lover who hasn’t yet tackled this classic, now is the moment.

The FMA includes a cadre of state alchemists and government-appointed troops who use alchemy for various purposes, including peacekeeping and combat.

While some gang members are gentle and well-meaning, others employ alchemy to commit violence. You’re right if that setup seems eerily similar to Fire Force!

5. Soul Eater

Fire Force was created by Atsushi Okubo, the writer and artist of Soul Eater. As a result, it’s not unexpected for Soul Eater to have a similar vibe to an anime like Fire Force.

However, the stories are quite different; in Soul Eater, pupils learn to wield human weapons or become them to combat evil.

At the same time, Fire Force is superficially similar in attempting to combat evil. However, the visual style is practically the same, as is the sense of humor and way of incorporating fan service.

6. Blood Blockade Battlefront

When a portal to a demon world opens in New York City, New Yorkers and the demons who pass through are caught in an impenetrable bubble, meaning they’ll have to work together if they want to survive.

Some species, however, are incapable of cooperating, and confrontations erupt regularly. That’s where Libra, a covert group tasked with keeping the peace, comes in.

While Libra’s battle differs greatly from that of Special Fire Force Company 8, the oddball individuals create an equally fascinating viewing experience. If you enjoy an anime like Fire Force, you’ll like this movie too.

7. Gangsta

While the locations of anime like Fire Force and Gangsta appear to have little in common, they share one key feature.

The Infernals of Fire Force is the first generation of people with fire-related powers, but all they do is burst into flames and explode.

Meanwhile, their descendants gain fire-based abilities that allow them to control and survive. A system of fire fighting units manages infernals.

A similar technique exists in Gangsta, employing the narcotic Celebrar. Those who use the substance can significantly increase their speed, strength, and endurance, but the drug is poisonous and addictive, leading to serious health problems.

As a result, their children, known as Twilights, are born with heightened talents that the government strictly controls. Still, they are also born addicted to celebrar and may have multiple disabilities.

8. Tokyo ESP

After a rare accident transforms an ordinary waitress named Rinka Urushiba into a hero capable of phasing through solid matter, she reluctantly accepts the hero role.

Her mission is to keep the city safe from those people with psychic abilities who intend to exploit them for evil. It is a configuration similar to an anime like Fire Force in that those putting Infernals to rest have fire-based skills of their own.

9. Plastic Memories

If the notion of Infernals intrigues you more than the action in an anime like Fire Force, you should check out Plastic Memories. Infernals used to be human beings with full lives and people who cared about them.

That’s why nuns are present before they’re disposed to bless their souls. However, being transformed into an infernal is a dreadful, heartbreaking occurrence that leaves the former human’s loved ones heartbroken.

The same can be said for the giftias in Plastic Memories. Giftias are life-like artificial intelligence created to befriend and assist people.

However, they become violent and unstable after a given time, which means they must be collected and disposed of before that happens. It can cause the same sensation of loss and misery as infernal creatures.

10. Yubisaki kara no Honki no Netsujou: Osananajimi wa Shouboushi

What if you don’t care about the political intrigue and magical abilities on display in an anime like Fire Force but still believe firefighting is awesome?

What if you prefer that the firefighting fan service focuses on ripped males rather than busty ladies and that the plotline is romantic rather than action-packed?

If that describes you, you should watch Yubisaki kara no Honki no Netsujou: Osananajimi wa Shouboushi, a romance anime about a woman who falls in love with the firefighter who saved her life.

11. Midnight occult civil servants

Similar to anime like Fire Force, this movie begins with the protagonist joining Special Fire Force Company 8 to neutralize Infernals and safeguard his city.

When Miyako Arata joins the Shinjuku Ward Office’s Nighttime Regional Relations Department, he has no idea how to deal with Yokai’s problems but quickly warms up.

Because of their magical powers, both characters are well suited to their new jobs, but each may bite off more than they can chew.

12. Promare

Promare is a collaboration between director Hiroyuki Imaishi and author Kazuki Nakashima, so fans of Kill la Kill and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann will recognize the aesthetic. Fans of Fire Force, on the other hand, will recognize the plot.

The reason is that they are practically identical. Promare describes the conflict between Mad Burnish, a horde of fire-breathing mutants bent on eradicating the Earth, and Burning Rescue, an anti-Burnish party. So, while not every element is the same, it is similar to an anime like Fire Force.

13. Blue Exorcist

In many ways, Blue Exorcist is a supernatural shounen anime series comparable to anime like Fire Force. Rin Okumura and Shinra Kusakabe, the two main protagonists, share a similar trait: they each believe they have something to show because of their family’s history.

They, too, seek to defend humanity from demons; nonetheless, Blue Exorcist follows protagonist Rin as he tries to live on his own while training with other children at True Cross Academy, where he learns how to battle devils.

14. D.Gray-Man

Fire Force is an unofficial “monster hunter” anime. The protagonists employ extraordinary skills and weaponry to track down and slay beasts of all types, whether true monsters, demons, spirits, or robots. D-Gray Man is like that, with action scenes from a fascinating fantasy sprinkled among its many episodes.

Allen Walker is a young, attractive exorcist with a strong personality. He lives in a gothic late-nineteenth-century world where Akuma intermittently appears to humans.

Millennium Earl and the Noah family are attempting to alter the world—it’s up to him and his fellow exorcists to stop them! If you fancy an anime like Fire Force, watch this.

15. Bleach

Bleach is not your average shonen manga. It’s more of a monster hunter-shonen anime, where we hunt hollows or spirits and the exanimate.

Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student, meets Rukia Kuchiki, a soul reaper, who becomes his partner in kicking these monsters’ asses!

Ichigo and his friends battle everything from ravenous hollows to the harsh regulations of soul society. The series also features the Wandenreich empire, governed by Quincy, a merciless archer. It is a thrilling anime like Fire Force.

16. InuYasha

The series began in 1996 and has been widely publicized since then, so there are many opportunities for adventure. It is another “monster hunter” anime set in 1500s Japan.

This anime is centered around a modern high school girl, Kagome Higurashi, who falls into an enchanted well only to find herself transferred to this period, where she finds herself as part of her own story, combating evil forces all around her alongside Inuyasha’s crew.

17. Goblin Slayer

Goblin Slayer is one of the most exciting anime like Fire Force available. But, unfortunately, it includes a total of 12 episodes and is not suitable for children!

The Goblin Slayer’s hero is a tight-lipped knight who goes by the moniker “Goblin,” and his only adversary is goblins.

But he is no longer alone, as priestess Selda, archer Coral, and others soon join him to form a complete group.
