In it, the black swordsman Guts goes on an epic quest while armed to the teeth with a big sword and a repeating crossbow.

Berserk, which the famous manga creator began serialization in 1989, will now be continued by his pals when he passed away in 2021.

The anime series was adapted for the screen for the first time in 1997. Season 2 premiered in 2016, and it ran until 2017. The finest anime like Berserk, is on this list. Read on to find out.

1.Ninja Scroll: The Series

The series, which is an example of anime like Berserk, transports us to feudal Japan 14 years after the death of the immortal warrior Himuro Genma.

It illuminates the world of the ninjas (also known as shinobi), the world of the samurai and the ronin, and the world of honor and bravery, with its pivotal death matches and the fellowship of enemies working together to achieve a common goal.

In the narrative, the Hiruko and the Kimon are two opposing clans. Hiruko (Roga) member takes the dragon clan’s holy stone and seeks Shigure, princess of the light, to deliver it to her.

But as he makes his getaway, he is pursued by the two clans, each after the stone so they might use it to destroy the princess’s hamlet.

The protagonist, Jubei, saves the princess by defeating the Kimon clan after they destroy her.

The stone’s thief, Roga, dies trusting that Jubei would deliver the item to Shigure without harm.

She will have to fight off hordes of foes from both clans on her way there, but in the end, they will see that the Hiruko wants to protect her and the stone so she may usher in a new era.

However, the Hijoko clan and anybody else in their way is wiped out by the Kimon clan’s desire.

2. Black Clover

In Black Clover, we follow Asta, a strong-willed young boy who, together with his best friend Yuno, lives in an orphanage in Clover Kingdom.

Unfortunately, unlike Yuno, Asta was not born with any innate magical abilities. Asta and Yuno have vowed to do whatever it takes to become known as Emperor Mage.

However, even as they go in different directions along the Knight-Mage road, their ultimate objective of becoming the next Emperor-Mage remains the same.

3. Claymore

Villagers in need of protection against creatures like demons often enlist the services of claymore, anime like Berserk, who are half-human, half-demon soldiers.

Humans have given these terrifying creatures titles like “silver-eyed witches” and “Claymore” because of their silver eyes and the enormous swords strapped to their backs (the name of the type of sword they use). One of them is Claire.

As part of her mission to rid a town of the demons who attack and eat its inhabitants, she murders the final member of a family that has been almost wiped out.

Raki, the lone survivor, chooses to join her on her murderous excursions as a chef after realizing he is the only one left.

Over time, he will unearth the women’s secrets and learn of their awful ending.

4. Blade of the Immortal

This tale takes place in Edo-era Japan. The hero, Manji, is an unbeatable warrior since he can recover from any injury.

He killed a hundred samurai in the past, including his sister’s spouse.

With the help of worms called kessench, which can cure any wound and even replace limbs even if they were lost hours ago, an ancient nun reported to be 800 years old provides him the gift of immortality.

After witnessing the murder of his sister, he accepts the assignment that would eventually kill him: killing a thousand villains.

During his travels, Manji meets a young lady called Rin Asano. He pledges to her to aid her in exacting revenge on the adept swordsmen who murdered her family, commanded by Kagehisa Anotsu.

Anotsu wiped down Rin’s family, including her father and djinn. Anotsu’s goal is to consolidate all fencing schools in the nation under his DJ, the Itt-ryu, which places a greater emphasis on talent than technique.

He has already started to acquire and destroy competing dj. Itt-rival, ry’s Mugai-ry, is formed as well.

It’s unclear how he leads or what drives him, but his strategies seem like Itt-ryu if they work.

5. Fist of the North Star

Water is the most valuable resource in the world since so few people survived the destruction caused by the Third World War, and strength is the most crucial ability because only the strongest now dominate the Earth.

Some have called him “the savior of the end of the century,” and when he emerges, he’ll alter that by teaching the Hokuto Shinken, a terrible kind of martial arts.

He’ll be helping the helpless survivors reach a more dignified existence and helping himself come to terms with and fulfill his purpose in this new world.

Fist of the North Star is another thrilling anime like Berserk that will keep you on edge.

6. The Twelve Kingdoms

The action of the narrative takes place in a parallel universe called the Twelve Kingdoms, which consists of a group of islands separated into twelve kingdoms with a civilization reminiscent of ancient China.

The kirin, a divinely-sent animal, selects a king or queen for each country and places them there.

There are uncontrolled exchanges between shoku, our reality, and the real one after significant natural catastrophes like hurricanes.

Although people on this planet may have some idea that our world exists, the inverse is not valid.

Roze is killed, and Ken is brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He’s done healing now, so they’re letting him go home. He learns he is no longer human on the day of his release.

When he sees himself in the mirror, he gets the chills because he has one “red eye.”

Soon after his hospitalization, he learns that Rize’s organs were transplanted into him.

Having gained access to Rize’s vital organs, he is now classified as a “half-ghoul,” a unique hybrid monster.

A struggle between Mugen, the vagrant, Jin, the wandering samurai, and the bodyguards of the Daikan’s son from that town led to the destruction of the tea establishment where Fuu, a girl of fifteen, was employed.

Despite their agreement, Mugen and Jin continue their nearly professional competition and strive to kill one other at any opportunity. When it comes to their histories, both samurai need to be more relaxed.

The novel follows them as they navigate roads and shadowy alleys and details the problems they encounter and the solutions they find.

Samurai Champloo combines current aesthetics and allusions with historic locations from the Edo Period.

Rap, graffiti, the Adidas and Converse emblems, baseball, and allusions to the atomic bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are just some of the current references included.

Tokyo was extensively wrecked by the earthquake that struck mainland Japan, and three-quarters of the city was subsequently flooded.

Ganta Igarashi, a seemingly average student at Nagano Prefecture College 10 years later, is at the core of the plot.

Ganta survived the earthquake but has no recollection and leads an everyday life. Everything changes when a mysterious figure in purple armor appears floating outside the classroom windows.

Madly grinning, the Man in Red assaults Ganta’s whole class, but instead of killing him, he only sticks a piece of red crystal in his chest.

A few days after the event, Ganta is identified as the single suspect and, after an expedited trial, is given a life sentence at Deadman Wonderland, an amusement park-themed jail and an amazing anime like Berserk.

After living in relative peace for decades, the heads of both clans are eager to settle their long-standing feud by going to war with one other.
