The Tecno Camon series usually gathers many raves due to it being the Camera focused series of the Tecno mobile phones. The Tecno Camon 12 takes over the baton from the Tecno Camon 11 and this time, Tecno decides to offer more.

Design and Display
The Tecno Camon 12 is designed a bit like the Tecno Phantom 9 smartphone and looks like the chosen “premium design” for Tecno Flagships this year. This is because the Camon 12 is the camera flagship series for Tecno Mobile.
At first glance, you will notice the smartphone sports a dewdrop notch on a 6.52 inch IPS Infinity V display. The device has slim bezels on at the bottom of the panel and comes with over 81% screen-to-body ratio.
The screen resolution seems constant amongst the Tecno devices as the Tecno Camon 12 comes with 720 x 1600 pixels present and also a 20:9 aspect ratio.
At the back is a verticle cutout housing triple camera set up and LED flashlight. Also, there is a rear fingerprint sensor at the back.
The polycarbonate finishing is no longer befitting the Camon series at this point. Other available design features include 3.5mm jack and USB 2.0 port.
Camera
The Camon series had long been popular for its camera specifications and features. The Tecno Camon 12 features a 16MP lens on the selfie camera position. This is assisted by enhanced software for better photography.
While this camera is capable of HDR pictures and recording, there is no LED flash. Rather, the phone relies on screen flash.
The triple rear camera setup consists of a 16 MP main lens, assisted by 8MP and 2MP lenses. There is also a quad LED flashlight available.
Also, there is Bokeh and a host of other beauty enhancements available for the rear camera.
Hardware Components and Software
Onto what powers the smartphone. Under the hood, we have the Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 (12 nm) octacore processor in charge of daily affairs. The processor has 8 Cortex-A 53 cores all clocked at 2.0GHz. Tecno claims the phone has an optimized game mode to increase efficiency and also special support for PUBG.
In the graphics processing department, there is the PowerVR GE8320 with speed clocked at 650MHz. The device has 4GB of RAM space clocked at 933MHz. The RAM space is enough for day to day multi tasking and should load all heavy apps without issues.
On the storage side, there is a 64 GB storage space available for media and other files. There is also a dedicated memory card slot for storage expansion.
The Tecno Camon 12 runs on Android 9.0 off the box running under HiOS 5.5.
Battery
There is a 4000 mAh battery available, unfortunately, there is no fast charge technology. The Tecno Camon 12 comes in different colors like Dawn Blue, Dark Jade, and Sky Cyan.
