In addition, Geely Automobile Holdings has owned it since 2010. They now organized it into three separate companies: Volvo Cars, Volvo Trucks, and Volvo Buses.
4. Scania AB
Scania AB is a truck and bus manufacturer. It is also one of the Swedish car brands established in 1891.
It produces buses as well as trucks under different names in other countries. These include Hino, Irizar, MAN, and Volvo.
Meanwhile, Its headquarters are in Södertälje, just south of Stockholm. Scania also provides bus manufacturing for Continental AG for their midibus models.
In addition, the subsidiary division of Volvo Aero produces aircraft engines for military aviation.
Scania was founded by AB Scania-Vabis when Sven Johansson and Assar Gabrielsson merged their bicycle business.
5. SAAB Swedish
Saab Automobile AB, commonly referred to as Saab is a Swedish car brand.
It was founded when its parent company, SAAB AB (soon to be Saab AB), began a project.
This is to design a brand-new Scandinavian middle-class car focusing on safety.
The first production model, the Saab 92, was launched in 1949.
In 2000, the parent company merged with Scania-Vabis, and ten years later, it was sold to Spyker Cars N.V.
The rights to use Saab were sold for US$100 million to Sweden Automobile., which used it subsequently for its business plan (now known as SAAB AB). SAAB then focused on jet aircraft through Saab AB.
6. Scania-Vabis
This is a somewhat misleading title. Scania-Vabis has never been one of the Swedish car brands but rather an umbrella corporation that builds buses and trucks.
Several car brands have come out of Scania-Vabis over time. However, Scania (since 1989), SAAB (1989), Renault Véhicules Industriels (1994), and Mack Trucks Inc. (2000).
Also included on this list is Volkswagen Sweden, which purchased Volvo in 1990. I have chosen to include both brands as they have vibrant histories.

7. Josse
The Josse (pronounced Yuss-ay) was a sports car produced by Enjolle between 1953 and 1955.
A 90-horsepower, two-liter engine from Ford with a top speed of 130 kph powers it. It featured a Jowett transmission with three forward gears and one reverse.
Also, the Josse was advertised as being the safest sports car in Europe due to its unusual construction.
This featured an all-steel body mounted on an integral chassis/body frame made of wood.
8. AMG Swedish
The AMG is a line of high-performance vehicles from Mercedes, which bought out its original parent company in 2010.
The AMG division has been producing performance cars since 1967, but their most popular models are only available in Germany.
These include the C43 sedan and Cabriolet, the CLK63 AMG coupe and Cabriolet, the CL65 AMG coupe and Cabriolet, and SLS AMG coupes.
