The mediator suggests that they each write down one thing they appreciate about the other, but Nicole is too ashamed to read hers aloud, so they decide against going to counseling.

Nicole chooses to quit her job and temporarily move in with her mother in West Hollywood with her son Henry after receiving an opportunity for a lead part in a Los Angeles television pilot. Charlie decides to remain in New York as the play moves to Broadway.

However, Charlie learns from Henry that Nicole prefers to stay in Los Angeles rather than return to New York. Charlie then phones Nicole and confronts her while perplexed.

He is confronted by Nicole, who says she discovered his illicit affair with Mary Ann after hacking his emails. To be nearer to his family and support his custody fight, Charlie later rents a house in Los Angeles with Bert’s advice.

One day, a homeless man named Ricco enters the record shop and starts shouting and rhyming, one of which involves the word “Dolemite.” (The actual Moore took down the works of several well-known street poets, among them Big Brown).

Moore develops a stage persona while narrating tales in the club. He introduces “The Signifying Monkey,” a crudely hilarious and evil routine, while dressed as a pimp and carrying a cane. As a backup, Taylor’s ensemble appears on stage with him. The audience cheers.

For the comedy album “Eat Out More Often,” Moore approaches his aunt for financial assistance. Jimmy Lynch, a buddy of his, takes a recording of him in front of a crowd at home.
