Irving files a libel lawsuit against Lipstadt in the UK, claiming she falsely accused him by calling him a holocaust denier in her book.
According to the legal system in the UK, Lipstadt and her team have to find evidence to prove that their claims against Irving are valid.
Watching her take on Irving in court as she works with her team to figure out a way to prove Irving deliberately altered facts without involving the survivors makes it a great addition to the list of the best feminist movies on Amazon Prime.

Well, when you’ve got a supportive partner and friend in the person of your manager, people’s bleeding ears can take a back seat as long as you’re happy.

She experiences the same and even worse with her husband until she is docile. Not for too long, though, because her encounter with two companions, Shug and Sofia, brings back her spirit.
It shows the various struggles African American women had to go through with issues like rape, pedophilia, domestic violence, and the like in that era, making it a great addition to our list of the best feminist movies on Amazon Prime.

This enmity leads to Madeline stealing Helen’s fiancé after they meet at an event hosted by Madeline. Helen goes into depression and ends up in a psych ward.
Determined to get her revenge later, she takes a potion to make her youthful so she can get Ernest (Bruce Willis) back and kill Madeline.
Well turns out Madeline has taken the portion too. What they don’t know is that taking the portion has side effects.
This event shows the lengths women will go to maintain their beauty and youthfulness, especially in the entertainment industry, and makes it a great addition to our list of the best feminist movies on Amazon Prime. It also stars Isabella Rossellini.
5. Suffragette

Suffragette is based on an event that occurred in 1912 in London when women fought for the right for women to vote in the UK. It’s not a biography either because much of what happened in the actual events has been altered.
Maud (Carey Mulligan) is the star of this story. We watch as her life worsens after she testifies before a parliamentary committee to pass a bill that will support the women’s suffrage cause.
It shows some of the different things women went through and sacrificed to push the cause, even ending in a very public death.
Some stars playing different roles were Carey Mulligan, Meryl Streep, Helena Bonham Carter, Natalie Press, Anne-Marie Duff, Romal Garai, Ben Whishaw, Brendan Gleeson, Samuel West, and Adrian Schiller.
6. Eye In The Sky

Helen leads a mission to capture the top terrorist out of East Africa. Her well-crafted plan almost goes plays out until an Intel comes showing that a suicide bombing is supposed to go down.
Now the mission has changed from trying to Capture to Kill until a young girl gets caught in the kill zone. Watching Helen in her element makes this a great addition to our list of the best feminist movies on Amazon Prime.
At the same time, we also consider the many conflicting social and moral issues portrayed in the film. We get several appearances from Helen Morren, Aaron Paul, Alan Rickman, Burkhard Abdi, Jeremy Northam, and Gavin Hood.

Wild is a movie based on the 2012 memoir Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Trail Crest by Cheryl Strayed. Cheryl (Reese Witherspoon) had a rather tough time dealing with her mother’s death, and to probably drown that out, she turned to drugs and random sexual activities.
Her toxic behavior causes her marriage with Paul to end, and she decides to go on a trip to rediscover herself.
Taking a 1000-mile hike along the Pacific Trail Crest is just what Cheryl needs because though she undertook the trip without much research or any idea of what will be required for a hike, she encountered people on the way who helped her. She also had the support of her best friend and her ex-husband.
The message of rediscovery is a great one and makes this movie a great addition to our list of the best feminist movies on Amazon Prime.

8. Daughters Of The Dust

This 1992 movie is set in 1902 on Dataw Island (St. Simon’s Island) in Georgia, and it is the first movie released by a black woman that received Nationwide theatrical release in the US.
It tells the story of some low-income families living on Gullah Island on the verge of migrating to the north after being displaced from their homes because of the slave trade and how they strived to uphold their cultures despite their displacement.
It stars Cora Lee Day, Barbara O, Alva Rogers, Trula Hoosier, Umar Abdurrahman, Adisa Anderson, and Kaycee Moore.
9. She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry

This movie is a documentary about female activist’s movements between 1966 – 1971 in the US. It was backed by press clippings and footage of events that went down, including interviews with Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, Jacqui Ceballos, and Muriel Fox.
It showed a lot of things that happened as women protested for equality in the workplace, reproductive rights, and affordable childcare, among other issues.
Still, it was not only an all-serious affair. There were lots of humorous scenes shown during the demonstration and all through the documentary. The complete casts include activists playing as themselves.
10. On The Basis Of Sex

It’s a 2018 movie starring Felicity Jones, Armie Hammer, Justin Theroux, Jack Reynor, Cailee Spaeny, Sam Waterson, and Kathy Bates.
It’s based on events in the ’90s and early 2000s surrounding Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a supreme court Justice. It begins with her time at Harvard Law school, where she studies with her husband. She ends up completing her degree in a different college due to discrimination.
After school,l she struggles further as a lawyer until she gets a case that helps her mission to challenge the laws that allow women to get overlooked socially and in the workplace.
