How about a triple sim slot smartphone with two of the sim slots on dual 4G VoLTE standby. Welcome to the world of the Umidigi A3, a new smartphone that will hit the market this week.
The Umidigi A3 is an entry-level smartphone aiming to become the best budget phone for the moment. The device triple sim slot is to allow users to use three sim cards at the same time or sacrifice a slot for memory expansion.
According to Umidigi, “Nowadays, there are a bunch of budget phones with a 16GB internal storage on the mobile phone market, many of them only provide such solution: you can use either two SIM cards or a SIM card and microSD card in the second SIM slot in your phone.
“So on paper, phone manufacturer would say that the phone storage capacity is expandable. But for that, you have to use your SIM slot, which means now your phone is a single SIM phone.
“”Especially, for entry-level budget smartphones, which usually has a smaller internal storage and users have to sacrifice the second SIM slot to expand the storage and there is always a compromise.

The Umidigi A3 series is an attempt to directly oppose the iPhone at the entry level market
Umidigi tries to copy Apple by releasing devices meant specifically for the low-end users unlike iPhone meant for the high-end market. The Umidigi A3 series contains UMIDIGI A3, A3 Pro and A3 Max with different screen size and design.
The new UMIDIGI phones are packed with 5.5-inch, 5.7-inch, and 6.2-inch LCD displays respectively. UMIDIGI A3 packs an 18:9 full-screen first generation, the UMIDIGI A3 Pro packs a second generation 19:9 full-screen technology with a notch screen, while the UMIDIGI A3 Max packs a 19.5:9 ratio waterdrop screen.
The UMIDIGI A3 will be available for $79.99 (N29,000), the A3 Pro from $99.99 (N36,000) while the A3 Max’s price is still unknown. The A3 launches on September 28 and Nigerians can get it via Jumia.
