Taaooma’s Early Life
Apaokagi Adedoyin Maryam a native of kanu state was born on the 28th of February 1999. She spent most of her life in Namibia but was born and brought up in Nigeria.
She attended the Dolastar Primary School, and Amazing Kids Private School & Academyin Nigeria and letter moved to Namibia for her secondary education at Concordia College.
She graduated with a B.Sc from Kwara State University, in Tourism and Travel Service Management and rounded up her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2020.
She started online comedy after convincing her fiance in 2015, Abdulaziz Oladimeji, to educate her on the basics of video editing.
In 2016, she first gained attention and since then she stepped into the lime light. in 2019 with an hilarious skit based on African parents, taking their children to school.
In 2019, she was the face of Media Room Hub’s July Issue. She bases her comedy on African parents expecialy the African mothers and their many and means of disciplinary actions on a child.
On 30 October 2020, Director “Abdulaziz Oladimeji” Abula engaged Taaooma in Namibia.

Taaooma’s parents are not actors or actress, taaooma met her boyfriend in 2015, she learnt photography, videography and editing from him which was essential to her comedy carrear.
All her comedy skits tends to mimik the African parents especially the African mothers, we understand and fill attacked to her comedy because we have all experienced such life style here in African.
She perfectly mimiks many African mothers, the way the treat and discipline their children. The African mothers have a unique decipline methods which is very common in all the African mothers and because of this, we can really relate to her comedy.
In an interview with Channels Tv, Taaooma said
I am not born with it and none of my family is a comedian, actor or actress, I met Greene Abdul Azeez Popularly Well known As Abula who is a Nigeria Music Video Director, I like him and his work then asked him to teach me how to Design a Birthday video and he promised to teach me even more than that
Abula told me if I really want to learn this Video Editing then I should start making a skit, but I didn’t have an idea of what to do and how to go about it, Then he started giving me a concept of mother and daughter (African Parent), that was how I started making a skit and learning Editing.
Just as some careers in life, challenges always sets in bringing us to a point of nearly quiting, same thing happened to Taaooma, it wasn’t easy for her and she nearly gave up, Abula traveled to Lagos and there was nobody to put her through or guide her, she had to resource to YouTube videos to help her learn how to shoot and edit videos in order to continue with her career.
We all learn at some point that its very difficult to balance school and career at the same time, this was also a challenge Taaooma faced, Taaooma tried all her possible best to make sure school and comedy didn’t affect each other, while she was still in school, Taaooma normally goes home every Friday to shoot skit as much as she can then come back to school for editing.
Taaooma made her first money in comedy in 2018 when she was paid by a musician for Single promotion After then she started promoting and Advertising for companies and brands.

Like the African parents she portrays in her comedy, her mother was not pleased she wanted acting comedy because as all african parents, she beleivedtha its only school that will give children good life in the future, so she did not want anything to disturb her school, taaooma promised her that acting will not affect her school only then did her mother letter approved of her acting.
