Phyno Age
Phyno was born on the 9th of October, 1986 to his parents. At the time of writing of this article, he is 33 years old.
Phyno Education
Though he originates from Anambra state in the South Eastern part of Nigeria, he grew up in Enugu state as a result of work duties of his father. It was in the State that he got his secondary school in education.
While schooling there, he was given the nickname Phyno which is derived from the word ‘Phenomenal’.
It was at this time when he gained interest in music and he started working on instruments he could get his hands on, especially the drums and piano. Though he initially dreamt of becoming a pilot, his love for music was undeniable. He produced his own beats using instruments and kept them all on record.
After completing his secondary school education, he proceeded to the Institute of Management and technology where he studied public administration as his major.

Phyno had to move to Lagos from Enugu to grow his music reach and access to work in the best studios. Phyno recorded his debut album just two years after moving to Lagos.
His debut album was titled No Guts, No Glory which was released in 2012 and featured a lot of top stars in the music industry including Olamide, Timaya, P Square, Ice Prince and many others.
Since he is known to be an indigenous rapper, most of the album was recorded in Igbo language, with changes coming from other featured artists on the album. The album had a lead single titled Ghost Mode which featured Olamide and won the Best Collabo at the 2012 and 2013 Headies Awards.
Other singles which appeared on the album received awards like Obago which won the best rap single.
The album’s third single “Parcel” was released on 11 October 2013. It was originally titled “Parcel (a BIG Nwa)”. The music video for “Parcel” was shot by Clarence Peters and released on 19 February 2014.
“O Set” was released as the album’s fourth single on 4 March 2014. The song was produced by WizzyPro and features vocals from Pasquale. The music video for the song was directed by Jude Engees Okoye.
On 22 May 2014, Phyno released the music video for “Alobam”, which was directed by Clarence Peters. Produced by Major Bangz, the song is an Igbo slang for “My Guy”. On 2 September 2014, Phyno released the video for his “Authe (Authentic)” song with Flavour. On 7 October 2014, he released the Major Bangz-produced “Yayo”.
The second album by Phyno was a collaborative album with Olamide titled 2 Kings which was released in 2015. This album was promoted by both rappers on their various social media accounts to further boost the reach of the album.
In between all these album releases, Phyno did tours around the country, attending numerous events where the artists was invited and concerts set up by himself. His most successful show happened in 2017 when the show was attended by over 55,000 fans.
The show called PhynoFest brought together numerous artists from all around the country to give spectacular performances for fans in the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
In 2019, Phyno released news of his plans to do a third studio album called Deal With It. The album features star artists like Olamide, Falz, David, Don Jazzy, Runtown and Teni.

Little to nothing is known about the relationship life of Phyno ever since he began his career till he rose to superstardom aside the false allegations that were leveled against him by a certain Rita Edmond who claimed she was impregnated by the star.
